As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be no role for teachers in the classroom. Discuss both views, and give your opinion

There is no denying that computers are playing an indispensable role in many aspects of our life, especially in terms of education. Even though there are some benefits of implementing a machine in studying, I believe that the replacing the function of a teacher can not be a positive thing.

There are several reasons why people believe that applying computer in education is the better choice. Firstly, computers have been helping students have an access to an almost infinite source of knowledge and information that there can’t be contained in our textbooks alone. During the lecture, modified details relating to the lesson will be given immediate access to the device linked to the Internet. Secondly, the lesson prepared by computers with vibrant animations, photographs or Power Point presentations will increase students’ interest and make it easier for them to acquire a great deal of knowledge from the online framework.

Despite the above arguments, I believe that the position of the teacher in the classroom can hardly be replaced by computers in the classroom. This is simply because they are machines that can never be matched with human’s intelligence and scholastic capability. It is only teacher who, apart from the information found in books, can provide students with know-how, soft skills and social skills. Furthermore, by regular face-to-face contact with teachers in a classroom, students will be able to concentrate fully on the studies and there would be less interruption than while you are studying from laptops.

In conclusion, while computer is commonly utilized in education, I do believe that the teacher's position in the learning process will always be seen as an important part of the classroom.
