00I cannot help but think this attempt at humour was a) poorly worded and b) as a result of it's poor choice of words, insulting to the teacher. Sure this implies that her help immediately rules out any chance of sucess? Perhaps if my friend had said that our maths class and sucess were mutually exclusive, implying we're the useless ones rather than our teacher's teaching, then it would have made sense.02br
