Newspapers and books are outdated. Why do some people believe this? What is your opinion?
Newspapers and books are outdated, but people believe old contents because they do not want to make sure if the information is new or not.
First of all, people are lazy to look at date of the newspapers and books, and they do not often consider whether they are reading the latest information or not. Whenever and wherever there are available books or papers, people are initially interested in what is inside. If there is something attractive, no matter the information is old or new. In my office, our department orders daily papers, and collects them on the big table in the meeting room. Many colleagues read these papers, and they usually read whenever there is an available paper in the meeting room.
Secondly, despite being outdated publications, many books and newspapers comprise information which never loses its valuable and significance. Many newspapers offer readers priceless advices and comments. Whenever people read them, significance is still kept. American writer Keil Karniege’s inspiring books were initially published nearly hundred years ago. However, people still read them and gain a lot of useful advice for how to make public speech, how to success in a career and how to influence people around.
In conclusion, for many readers, attraction of information in a book or paper is more important than being old. Also, people read outdated book and paper because those book and paper still includes valuable information and knowledge.
