This table shows the information about underground railway systems in six different cities all over the world in terms of their size, age and the number of people who use them each year.

Overall, the three oldest railways surprisingly served passengers more than the newer systems. Tokyo railway reached the highest point in the number of passengers.

London railway is the earliest date opened in this table in 1863 and also the biggest system compared to the others with 394 kilometers of the route. Then the second largest system is the Paris railway, it opened in 1900 and contained 199 kilometers of the route. The last is the Tokyo system with 155 kilometers of route. However, it is the most use of people with 1927 million passengers per year, then 1191 million passengers by Paris systems and 775 million passengers by London railway.

Turning to the three newest railways, the Kyoto system is the smallest in the length of route with 11 kilometers. Then in Los Angeles which is over half bigger than the former system. The last railway is the oldest system in this group, Washington DC underground railway system opened in 1973 with 126 kilometers of route. The number of passengers who used them is 144 million in Washington DC, 45 million in Kyoto, and 50 million in Lo Angerless.
