Please give me some feedback on my task 2 essay

Some people think that children should be taught to be competitive in school. Others, however, say that cooperation and team working skills are more important. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

While some think that schools should educate students to compete, others argue that the emphasis should be on cooperation. In my view, I consider that team skills help children stand a better chance to succeed in their future life.

On the one hand, it is often thought that it is preferable if the focus in school is on cooperating with others, and I concur with this statement. As individuals, we do not live, work, or interact in isolation, and therefore the ability to work alongside other people should be taught beginning in infancy. Without these abilities, children would be unable to interact with one another or cope productively with confrontations and conflicts. Additionally, team skills teach children how to negotiate with others in order to complete a task. This is an essential skill to learn for their future life.

On the other hand, some people argue that children who learn to compete typically do better in school. In other words, the competition between students encourages them to excel in their studies or activities, resulting in improved academic performance and outcomes. For instance, when students directly compete with their classmates, they usually dedicate themselves and work harder. Furthermore, being motivated to achieve the best is critical for success later in life when they must compete against others in the job market as adults.

In conclusion, although views differ, I believe that encouraging students to cooperate with other people will increase their chance of success in future life.
