Describe something that you achieved as a result of committing yourself over an extended period of time(250 words or less)
Like Bruce Lee used to say: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times" I have forced myself to push out my limit by tirelessly practicing to achieve my desired goals. Combating my record on resolving rubric challenges was one of them.
When I was in grade 6, the students had a new trend "Who is the fastest solving Rubik's cube?" The boys, especially the math takers, were very excited about this challenge. As fate had come to us, the mathematic class, we were intrigued by this little colorful cube. I ransacked Google to find out the secrets behind it and the way to beat the puzzle. Although scientists extracted many algorithms from this puzzle, I could use some regular formulas to get six faces full colors. I tried vigorously to understand and memorize them. In the beginning, I was distressed because it took me 20 minutes to complete the task. To boost up, I practiced 30 minutes, three times a day, heading toward the first place. The results came after I got third place and settled a new record for 20 seconds with just the beginners' formulas. I have learned a lesson that "challenges can come at any time, and you rather turn them into your chances to assert yourself or let them knock you down."
