Please, give me a hand with my questions.

Hello,

Here some questions I'd like you could correct :

1) "We were paid more on tips than on hours.";

2) The employee receives (or earns ? ) U$ 12,00 per hour; (in this case are both verbs acceptable ?);

3) Nowadays the students have much better Polish than three years ago;

4) Should we say on the beginning or in the beginning ? ;

5) "If you have difficulties to understand some accents, after few conversations this kind of problem is usually solved."

Thank you,

Pablo

Hi all

2) I would write USD 12.00 or US$12.00 (I wouldn't use a comma.)

3) I wouldn't say have much better Polish. I would say: the students speak much better Polish or the students have a much better command/knowledge of Polish.

5) I would say: after a few conversations.
