The bar chart illustrates the gender distribution of educators in six distinct levels of education in the UK in the year 2010.

As can be observed from the chart, it is noticeable that the proportion of men and women tutors differed greatly in the studied period. While the ratio of female instructors made up overwhelmingly in pre and junior level of educational settings, in higher education level, there were more male educators than female ones engaged.

To be more specific, the proportion of women educators in nursery/pre-school levels as well as primary schools was almost 98% and 96% respectively, which show that the dominance of female teachers in early education level. However, this gender gap was shrunk considerably in secondary school and college level. In junior high school, the rate of women instructors accounted for approximately 47%, slightly higher than men teachers.

On the other hand, in the case of college, the percentage of lecturers from both genders was leveled. A different trend could be experienced in universities and private training institutes as male teachers dominated these two educational settings. In university level, 3 females were employed against 7 male mentors while this ratio was roughly 4 by 5 in the other one.
