Hi Experts, please help to identify which portion is error.

the head of the purchasing department told me send out this order as soon as i possibly could.

A. purchasing.
b. told
c. send out
d. as soon as.

i think it sould be C. as i think it should be "..told me to send out..."

We all know what looks grammatically correct doesn't always mean it sound smooth, which you have admitted. I didn't intend to mean that it is wrong to say "sent out this order". I think most people can figure out the meaning. I merely pointed out the normal collocation.

This is my point. Call it "opinionated" if you will. I hope you will find all three grammatical. If my opinion is acceptable to you ( based on common collocation ) doesn't # 3 sounds the best?
