please explain them to me

The two sentences are from my textbook and I think there are errors in them but am not sure. Please help me and explain to me. thank you.



1. He sat next to a boy named Will who has the same pencil box as Jack.

Q1:Is it all right to ommit the comma right after “Will”?

Q2: Shoudn’t it be “the same pencil box as Jack’s” ?



2. Everyone of us gets nervous when hearing someone cough.

Q: Is “everyone of us” correct?
