Topic: Today’s school should teach their students how to survive financially in the world today. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Many people think that students should be taught about money management in the contemporary world. I completely agree with this viewpoint.

First and foremost, students who manage finance well are likely to effectively handle their family’s finance. The first justification for the given view is that financial skills will be ingrained in children’s heads as a result of long-term learning. Furthermore, finance being a subject at school can raise parents’ awareness of the vital importance of sharpening financial skills in their children. Instead of being neglectful or reluctant to teach finance to their children, parents now consider it a need rather than an option. As a result, parents would be more actively involved in cooperating with schools to hold more workshops, talk shows,…to help students apply theory into action. This will bring out more confident, energetic and sharp-minded students in the future.

Secondly, students with long experience of finance have a high possibility of being the key components of a nation’s economy. Their knowledge and practical skills will stand them in good stead of being a member of the country’s operating system. As per a recent survey by money Magazine among 100 experts in accounting field, more than 22 percent of them learned the basic fundamental skills from their parents or teachers during their early years. As a result of this, students does not merely likely to secure a well-paid job but also have a high living standard.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that basic knowledge about managing should be incorporated in school curriculum, which supports students to understand the value of effective management of money.
