We're all aware that it's not always easy to be successful in this cutthroat business world. Nevertheless, countless executives succeed and make millions, some even billions. What's their secret?

We interviewed several business leaders to discover the key element to their effectiveness. Here is the one response they all had in common:

Be positive. Seems pretty straightforward, right? But sometimes it's not as simple as it seems to keep smiling when stocks are down or profits are lower than usual. However, we found that with every successful individual we interviewed, positivity was a shared trait.

Mark Wales, the Chairman of ComUnited, said, "I have never had much

trouble being an optimist. In this industry, I have suffered many setbacks. Yet, I didn't let myself get discouraged. You have to keep giving your best effort. With a positive attitude, you'll find the success you're hoping for."

Another financial expert, Darren Atwood, the CEO of Ride Zoo, explained, "In the past, I found myself at times in a pessimistic state of mind. We all tend to have experiences that make us feel overwhelmed and worried. During these moments, I learned that it is best to work hard to change your thinking. See the good in life and in your situation. Positivity is the key."

So, when you hit a stumbling block in your business endeavors, just remember what these successful individuals recommend: Stay positive.
