Please evaluate the LOR for a student who as completed degree long ago

On of my student has requested me to write a recommendation after almost 5 years after their graduation. Would it be appropriate to include the fact even after many years I still remember and can evaluate the student or would mention that hurt their profile.

Can I start the letter as below.

I am very pleased to write this recommendation on behalf of XXX. It wasn't a surprise to me when he/she asked me to write his/her recommendation after many years of completion of his/her bachelor program. I still remember him/her as a
(qualities/attributes of student) and good team member. I appreciate his/her sincere efforts to pursue master degree in YYY course.

I'd greatly appreciate anyone's help.
