It is argued that the hardcopy media like newspapers and books will be out of sales in future and everything will be available for reading to the public for free of cost. This essay agrees with the statement because of the ease of using electronic media and vast data sources available over the Internet for free.

The use of electronic media has become more comfortable than ever with the advancement of technology. The availability of electronic gadgets like mobiles and other devices has made it easy to access media like newspapers and books on the go in hand. In that regard, the purchase of printed books and newspapers is expected to fall in the future, with people preferring to read them on their electronic gadgets instead of hard copies. For instance, with Kindle, a reading application, one can have up to 200 books in a device, ready to read on tap of a button, whereas it is next to impossible to carry those many books physically.

With the Internet expanding over the board day by day, the same reflects the availability of enormous data resources over the Internet. The vast resources available on the web give the users free access to ample options and the freedom to choose their information. This is not possible with purchasing books or any other printed media, as it may prove unrealistic and expensive. For example, we can access several IELTS materials on the Internet for free of cost, whereas it is hard to buy or access those many hardcopy publications.

In conclusion, technological advancements of electronic devices are making easy access to any printed media electronically and the abundance of resources available over the web may force people not to buy the printed media and access them for free.
