Please evaluate my writing task 2 essay

Topic:

English centers have supported Vietnamese learners of English in their study but there have been certain problems. What are the benefits of English centers and what are the problems caused by them?

My essay:

Recently, more and more people choose English centers as their reliable places of learning English. Though this seems encouraging learners to study in general, it has its own drawbacks which are both discussed in this essay.

On the one hand, English centers give learners opportunities to interact with native speakers, which is really attractive because many schools in Vietnam provide not enough environment to practice English. For example, at schools, most teachers are Vietnamese so they use their mother tongue as teaching language and have difficulty pronouncing English words. Unfortunately, students are likely to intimate them and create bad habits. As a result, students may lack confidence when it comes to listening and speaking skills. English centers have them lean with all for basic skills, which satisfy their needs to master the language. Plus, that culture of English speaking countries are taught makes lessons more appealing.

On the other hand, there are some downsides caused by this type of English institutions. A large number of learners attend different courses hold by these centers, which means they earn huge amount of money. This may lead them to aim only at promising commercial aspects instead of passion for teaching. For instance, some centers take advantages of desire to learn the language in a short period of time with ear-catching motto such as "Achieve 7.0 IELTS score in a course", "Speak English fluently within 6 moths", etc. Learners should stay alert to avoid these marketing schemes and invest money as well as time in centers which guarantee quality.

In short, English centers have played an important part in terms of teaching English in Vietnam providing all-round skills but also raise concerns of becoming business focus.
