Please Evaluate My IELTS Task 1 (Bar Chart)

Cambridge 10 Test 3

The two bar charts illustrate destination of graduates and postgraduates in United Kingdom in 2008 (excluding full-time work): part-time job, charitable work, further study and unemployment.

Overall, it can be seen that the number of graduates was nine times the number of postgraduates. Most of the students in both cases decided to continue study for advanced degree.

In 2008, the number of graduated students took part in further study is 29665, accounts for nearly a half of the graduates. For postgraduates, this figure decreases to around 40%, at 2725 students. The figure for postgraduates who applied for part-time job was just under further study, at 2535. 17735 graduated students also decided to get part-time job.

The number of unemployment ranked 3rd in both charts. The figure for graduates who became jobless was closed to part-time work, at 16235 and 1625 postgraduates were unemployed. The rate of both graduated students and postgraduates who worked as volunteers were negligible, at 3500 and 346, respectively.
