Please evaluate my essay on how i envision to play a leadership role at university and my community after i graduate

My dad always told me that leaders ate last. As a kid, I never understood what he meant. I always thought leaders presided from the front of the group and paved the way for the rest of the crowd to follow. It wasn’t until I started taking on leadership roles that I finally began to comprehend what my dad meant.

Through many opportunities and projects, I was able to be a leader amongst my peers. I have since discovered that my strongest core leadership qualities are professionalism and confidence. For example, I was once entrusted by my gymnastics Coach and teammates with the responsibility of leading the team while our Coach was absent. That day, I showed leadership by taking action, demonstrating what needs to be done, and keeping my team organized to assure we’re all contributing equally which resulted in an affective session. When it comes to confidence in leadership, volunteering for “Badiri” has exceptionally boosted that for me because making a corner of the world a better place really adds a sense of accomplishment. This has given me inspiration, and prepared me for future leadership. These experiences taught me that leadership is not completely governate. It is altruistic. A good leader is selfless. A good leader eats last.

Despite being a great leader, I still have some areas I need to work on. For instance, I am often independent and enjoy working quickly, so it has been difficult for me to ask for help when I need it. I have learned that many experts around me have specific knowledge and skills that can make my work better. While I am still working on it, I have been able to produce higher quality work as a result of getting help from them. Furthermore, I sometimes focus heavily on the details of a project and over-analyze the finer points. I’ve been striving to improve in this area by checking in with myself at regular intervals and allowing myself to refocus on the bigger picture. That way, I can still ensure quality without getting caught up in the details that it affects my team’s ability to meet the deadline.
