Should parents and caregivers attend parenting and child development course?

To what extent do you agree?

There are those who believe that parenting and child development course can help parents to make child life improvement, however, others think otherwise. I do believe that attending such a course is beneficial to child rearing.

In general, there are two primary reasons why I believe that parenting and development course is beneficial to parents and guardians with children. Perhaps the most cogent reason in favour of this is that this class can help parents hone parenting skills to deal with childhood development, understanding temperaments, and children intellectual development. This is because those skills are something parents possibly have to learn, not something parents are largely automatically born with. As a result, children with parents having attended this course will likely become an adult with an idea of how to control emotion and have good social skills. Another sound reason in favour of this idea is that while attending this course, parents can share experiences. For example, while taking this course, some parents with mild cognitive-problem children can meet and share problems with other parents with more severe cognitive-problem children.

Despite these well-reasoned arguments, there is also a case for the idea that taking this course is a criminal waste of money. The main reason in favour against this notion is that even though this course seems somewhat expensive to some parents with meagre incomes, it can in the long term bring multiple benefits. This is because parents can reap major benefits when their children later in life become academically successful students and caring for parents in their twilight years.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that doing parenting and child development course is tremendously beneficial to parents and caregivers since this course can improve mastering parenting skills, sharing experiences in class, and gaining long term merits.
