Although I understand students who desire to concentrate all of their energy on applications to their first-choice schools, I support making application to several schools .There are two reasons why I feel this is important. First applying to several schools will improve our chances of entry into the school for that particular cycle. By thinking that they will gain admission, some students, with good score in SAT and TOEFL and with low GPA score will apply to their first-choice schools. But they didn’t get admission into school and finally ended up to loose 6 months of their career. This is because everyone first-choice school will have high standards. They will first accept the students with better resume rather than others . It is highly impossible for a school to accept each and every person who applied to their school because of limited seats . So by applying to several schools will help us to save time which is most reliable factor. Second reason is that applying to several schools will help us to understand different requirement criteria to gain admission into that school. This will improve our conversation skills indirectly as we speak with different lecturers, working staff for admission process. We can also will come across many benefits like finding research opportunity, observership etc. So when I am going to apply for universities I will apply to different schools including my first-choice school. If I get admission into my first-choice school I will be happy. If not, there are still chances for me to get into other schools which are in second and third priority . This will help me not only to save time which is most important thing than money as applying to several schools will costs so much money, it will also help me to meet different people and also find different opportunities.
