Please English speaker help, give me your opinion. How can I make the sentences better?

The elevator went down 80 floors in 20 seconds and having walked up a flight of the stairs, I can tell you the floors are very long. There are a lot of stair per floor to go up.

The serpentine line is there to be able to accommodate the most number of people in a restricted amount of space.

I was waiting in line to get into a store and unfortunately the cutoff was made right before me so all my friends went in except for me. I had to wait longer to get in.

When I go into a USA movie theater they tear the movie ticket in half and give me the other half. Do they do this in Spanish countries and what is the half of the ticket that is remaining/remains called. It is called a movie stub in USA. They tear the stubs./The tear the tickets.
