Co-Chair Mr Artak ZAKARYAN welcomed all the participants and underlined that it was already second meeting of the Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Culture and Civil Society that they convened in Yerevan which became a good tradition. He wished the Committee to have a fruitful meeting. He believed that the report to be adopted by the Committee would contribute to the strengthening of the intercultural dialog between European Union and partner countries. Co-Chair Mr George PIRINSKI joined Mr. Zakaryan in expressing satisfaction that they had the opportunity of holding the meeting in Yerevan in the context of Fourth Ordinary Session of the Euronest.
Mr POGHOSYAN, member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, said that he has had the opportunity to be in Brussels on the 5th of November 2014 and at least seven times he has asked to speak and has done so but his name wasn’t even mentioned in the protocols. He said that the document didn't correspond to the reality and expressed hope that the secretariat will be more serious in the future. Mr PIRINSKI was very sorry for missing items but he was told by the secretariat there was a possibility to add or amend something , in written form to submit a text either adding or amending. Mr POGHOSYAN thanked him for the suggestion but if he tried to do it, it would be six-seven page long document which was not probably the right way of doing it because it was difficult to remember approximately six discussion topics or the next time each of them have to record the meeting. He called to draw attention to it in the future. Mr PIRINSKI thanked him for the suggestions and the secretariat will take into account the suggestions . There wasn't other comments, so the draft minutes were approved. ------ George Pirinski has expressed regret about the Azerbaijani partners’ absence and has noted that they explain their absence by the fact of refusing their recommendations and observations. Mr Pirinski said that this was not the case, they will examine the report under point six and all amendments received before the deadline without exception and the vote of the reported we will be discussing. Mr Pirinski called the secretaries of the European Parliament political groups and national delegations to indicate to them in written form if any substitute members of the political groups or delegations will take part in the vote replacing full members. Mr Pirinski reminded them that European parliament delegation has up to fifteen votes and each national delegation up to three voice.
