Please, could you correct my text ?

The MDG is an old property built in 1873 and today we can’t explain his history. This construction is divided in two different hotels. MDG is a hotel restaurant where I worked this summer, and the other part called PG, another hotel that was bought back. Now, I’m going to talk only about the MDG.

As you can see, the MDG is bigger than the PG. it’s a Three-star hotel.It’s composed of twenty rooms separated in three groups : double room, twin room (with twosimples beds), and family room (4 persons). They are air-conditioned with flat screen television and some of them offer a nice view of the swimming pool. In this hotel, we can see a bar and a restaurant, a weights room, four tennis courts and two rooms for weddings or meetings.

The MDG is a family company.

• Bernadette is alain’s mom. She helps them for room, reception and in the kitchen too. She is 87 and everybody call her « grandma ». The owners of this hotel are ALAIN and NICOLE. So they were my boss. Alain was a tennis teacher and nicole taught sport in a college. She has taught my mother in college, so it’s really funny. As soon as were retired, they have devoted time to work in MDG. Nicole works like a cook and alain like a receptionist, he is the hotel manager. They have two children : Bastien and Jonathan. Jonathan, like his father, loves tennis and he wants to become a professional. Bastien was an actor but today he wants take his father place. So he moved in MDG in July.

Generally, I worked like a waitress. The summer week end, they are lot of weddings, so every Saturday night, I worked. But the rest of the week, I serve customer in the restaurant, for lunchtime at noon and the evening too. I have to put the tables following the model and serve the meal. (fishcultury). The meal for wedding is very particular. People have a first course, then a second course with fish, another with meat, a side plate of cheese and a wedding cake that I cut at midnight. Finally, I cleared the table, and I washed only glasses. When I was alone, I serve some drinks in the bar. Like I said before, sometimes, I worked like a receptionist. I made bills and I cashed customers and took some reservations by phone, email of thanks to websites like booking.com or expedia.The MDG organisation is based on a software named HOP2000. I give you an example of the planning. Green arrows represent the future reservations checked.

I’ll give you the answer later. MY OPINION It was a great summer. I enjoy this family very nice and warm. Nicole cooks for me or ask to other cooker during their work. Generally, I ate the dish of the day. They propose to me, to swim in the swimming pool at the end of the service. Everybody was friendly with me. The negative aspect, is unpleasant customers. Some of them are unsatisfied by rooms or service because they wait too many times. Usually, this restaurant serves forty covers in an evening and I was alone.

My favourite anecdote it’s with an unsatisfied client. After he was installed, he arrives, furious, like a bomb. He asked to me aggressively : « Why internet doesn’t works ? I read on internet that you have Wi-Fi, It’s scandalous. » and his daughter behind : « I need a Wi-Fi ».

So, I explain to them : Yes, we have internet but if twenty rooms are connected, it’s probably that’s struggles.

And he answers to me « Okay, you are liars, so I want free parking and free deckchairs. I said «

Yes, no problem ». He doesn’t understand that parking and deckchair are free for everyone in the hotel. And, the evening, they ate in family at the restaurant. I give it to them the Menu and we have a plate name « Brochette de Gambas ». When they passed the command, the girls say « Me, I would like « Brochette de gambas » without « gambas ».
