TOPIC: As Earth runs out of natural resources, we have started to look to space for solutions. However, some people argue that this is the wrong thing to do, and instead we should look for alternative solutions here on Earth.

To what extent do u agree with them?

What alternatives might be there to exploiting space for natural resources?

Human beings have been facing with some negative consequences of depletion of the natural resource. As a result, there are an increasing number of people supporting for finding solutions from outer space, whereas other people claim that alternatives on Earth are more potent. This essay agrees that dealing with such problems by solutions from Earth is much more practical.

It is widely-known that space travel costs a great deal of money and this money could save thousands of lives. A number of fossil fuels provided for space ships are enormous and costs a lot. For instance, a recent survey conducted by the University of Cambridge found that NASA's spending on doing space research, transmitting space resources and samples is enough for providing food and clothes for all homeless inhabitants in the world. Therefore, allocating more resources to improve space program might be a waste of time and money.

It is my belief that there are several solutions our world can take in order to alleviate resource-related problems. One potential solution is to use renewable energy. This is mainly because such energy is cost-effective and easy to find. This is indicated by the construction of wind farms off the coast in Australia. By constructing these, Australian government saves up a large sum of money from generating electricity from the wind. In other words, applying renewable energy, nations reduce their reliance on unrenewable energy such as fossil fuels.

In conclusion, while the quest for the solutions on other planets might be inevitable in the future, such solutions sought out on Earth should be high on the agenda of both local and national authorities.What every country needs to do is to both impose restrictions on exploiting natural resources and apply potential methods to deal with resource-related problems.
