Besides my family, Sister Thi is one of the most important persons in my life. she is a nun, and she is the gentlest nun I know. She taught me Catholic Catechism when I was young. She taught me everything and answered all my silly questions patiently. She also showed me how to treat people. One time, she asked me to go to visit some families in our parish. I wondered why she asked me. Maybe we have the same pronounced names, so she remembered me. Then i agreed. That was a Luna New Year day. We visited old people who are poor and live lonely. We came to their house, talked to them and Sister Thi gave them a small red envelope with a small amount, which is enough for them to buy 2lbs of rice. It was the lucky money on new Year days. They were verry happy, and some of them cried. They said that because of tet holiday, people were busy to prepare and decorate their house, but with poor people, they wished there was no Tet. Everything on Tet holiday is more expensive than normal days. i was almost cried, too. We walked from house to houes until sunset. I was so tired but she wasn't. she is old but so strong. She led me closer to God. After that, I joined Eucharistic Youth Movement, where i met my best friends. Fews year later after serving our parish, she moved to her monastery for retirement. My friends and I still visited her until i came here. Now, I keep in touch with her by my friends. They tell me that she still remembers me. I hope to come back to see her as soon as I can.
