• In the modern world, it is no longer necessary to use animals for food or use animal products, for instance, clothing and medicine. To what extent, do you agree or disagree ?

It is believed that these days, the use of animals for food, clothing items and medicine is no longer appropriate. I find myself in complete agreement with this idea.

On the one hand, animals should not be used in research or to make products for people. Firstly, it is cruel and inhumane to experiment on animals as animal welfare is as essential as medical research. For example, many animals used in medical experiments are deprived of food in a prolonged period of physical restraint. Secondly, humans might have needed animals to survive, but after evolving so much, this should not be the case anymore. As a result, people will be too lazy to innovate if they still use the same methods of cruelty to produce consumer products or find cures for diseases.

On the other hand, alternative testing methods now exist that can replace the need for animals. To begin with, many companies have sought better ways to create their products without using animals. For instance, some prestigious fashion brands like Gucci and Georgio Armani pledged to eliminate fur clothing to replace them with environmentally safe materials and have created a new trend: abolishing the use of animals in the fashion field. Besides, people now tend to reduce the number of products from animals like meat, fish, and add more vegetables, dairy to not only ensure nutrients but also can enjoy better health. In particular, many artificial types of meat products contain high levels of the protein that are believed to be very promising to replace beef and pork in the coming years.

In conclusion, animal testing should be eliminated. Moreover, humans can not justify making life better for themselves by randomly torturing and executing thousands of animals per year to perform laboratory experiments or to test products.
