Mr. A : (To Mr. B), why your friend(Mr.C) is angry with you now?

Mr. B : Yesterday I didn't attend his birthday party, so he is now angry.

Mr. A : I see, what kept you off from going there yesterday?

Mr. B : My mother didn't like him, so he refrained me to go his house.

Mr. A : You must have convinced your mother, as he is your best friend and yesterday he had, as you know, his birthday.
