Please correct this. I wrote this as part of my effort to get corrected.
It was a day in August. I stayed late for work and thus came home more than a few hours later than usual. I expected my dog to be in the premises but found him missing. Alarmed, after getting changed, I looked for it around the house and the neighborhood. I searched extensively around the places I thought he might be in but to no avail. Exhausted, I came home, only to find it in his dog house sleeping.
Additional question: If this were (purely hypothetical) written as part of a published article or published book, how could I check if any other person has written a text that is identical in content or structure?
