Hi, all.

I just wanted to know if all of you were going anywhere this weekend.

I haven't contacted all of you for a long time. Summer is here and this nasty sun seems really putting forth the heat day in and day out, non-stop, doesn't it? Anyway, I am sitting -- well, almost half-lying down -- on a sofa that is fast becoming sticky with the sweats, eventhough a fan is going full force.

It does seem easy to just let hours pass by without doing anything substantial -- and to me, that is not right. How about heading to XXX and hit the beach this weekend? I know a place that has a beautiful sandy beach with the sand that seems baby-soft to walk on. We can lie on the beach, basking under the sun or go to a nearby restaurant -- and it has a lot of restaurants just a step away from the beach -- and taste fresh seafood it is famous for.

I would say it's not a bad idea. Would you like to follow-up on my idea? If you would like to, please ring me up right away so I can go ahead and arrange our transportation.

(Is this sentence "I just wanted to know if all of you were going anywhere this weekend" correct tense-wise? I feel if you have the words "this weekend", it might be best to use the present tense.)
