It was Friday night. I entered the restaurant. Upon my entrance, I was met by someone sitting behind a small desk that stood my height high and looked like a podium (I think there is a term used for a person like that but it is escaping me at this time of writing). Waving his long skinny right hand, he guided me to an empty table that doesn't have any great view of outside but was placed in the middle of other tables. Add to that, the tables around me were occupied by heartly people who seemed to be preoccupied with enjoying delectible meals in front of them, tasting every morsels with conscious use of hands, with satisfied grins that send the message that they are happy a mile long. Mesmerized momentarily by a rare sight of people who seem (Is 'seemed' OK?) to be really enjoying their time eating, I wasn't listening to the man's asking what kind of dish I would like to have. To have been awoken from a momentarily, yet deeply held, trance, I took notice of what he is asking and I blurted out, "Yes, I would like to have the same dish the man on my left is having." With a playful smile on his face, he said gently, "Of course, sir, I will bring you the same dish" and left. A few minutes later, the dish arrived and it was a stew with beef and a lot of different vegetables. With great anticipation, I took ahold of a metal spoon and hurriedly took a big spoonful of it. Then, there it was: It was a stew with delicate taste and flavor, none like anything I ever tasted, and like the people around me, I found myself eating with a big (perhaps, the biggest grin) on my face. What do I think of this restaurant? I give this restaurant an enthusiatic thumbs-up. Come visit this rare germ of restaurant and you won't be disappointed; but be aware that you might be seeing people with curious looks after you left the place because of the grin that never left.
