please correct this

Hi,

With the upcoming national election in Korea, I have written something down. I hope you would correct it.

Last night, while sipping my ususal cup of tea after eating dinner after a long day of work, I happen to see a news program that told the presidential candidate Byung-park Lee (I think this is how his name is spelled) has announced that he will give away -- i think that is the right translation of the words spoken but I am not sure -- all that he has except his home to Korean people. It was a bomb-shell in that it is known he possesses great wealth that probably has taken great many years to accumulate. It was a grand gesture but shortly after the announcement, it was met with some skepticism and suggestions of grey motives, especially by other political parties in view of the few-days-away national election.

Still, I think his action is an admirable one and one that cannot be imitated by other people or politicians in a similar level of wealth and socio-political status. It is known that he is the most wealthy presidential candidate among those candidates running but disregarding that fact, it makes me wonder how many of the remaining presidential candidates would be willing to forgo most of their wealth if he is in a similar position as Mr. Lee's to do so. Not many, if not any, I think.

The news I heard that night is surprising, yet it is something that made me think deeply about others and most of all, about my self.
