Thank you for your response.
I haven't known that 'to nuke' means 'to microwave'.
I've heard that it means 'to delete a computer file'.
Does it have a lot of different meanings?

Hi,

In your example, it means 'to completely destroy'. Most times, you'd just speak of deleting a file. 'Nuke' is slangy and mildly humorous.

Hi, thank you for reply.

Turning back to the verbs for the microwave, how about 'warm'?
I came up with the following example after my last post.

"I warmed my lunch in the microwave."

Does this sentence work?

It is ok, but we would usually say "I heated my lunch in the microwave".
