Please correct these possibly first-day instructions

Hi. Let us pretend I (or any other person who is in a position to do so) am giving these instructions to a group of students. They are to introduce themselves. There is a recommended time limit to the introduction, but strict adherence is not enforced. Could you correct this content? Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

(talking to students)

OK. We are starting a new term and I want each of you come up to the front of the classroom (of class?) and introduce yourselves. There is a recommended time limit, which is five minutes, but it is not enforced strictly. You will be allowed go past the recommended time limit by one or two minutes. On the other hand, you shouldn't take too short of time. After your introduction, we will devote another five minutes to a question-and-answer session, during which your classmates can ask you further questions or ask for more details on some points you brought up.

Those were general guidelines and now I ask you to write your introductions and then memorize them. It should be noted that when you stand in front of class (of the classroom) you are not to have your paper with you to look at. Thank you for your attention and let's get to it.

You are just talking, not publishing a rule book. What you have written is unecessarily wordy. Do this: OK.
