No.
Say eg "The crowds are terrible, especially on weekends. Everyone targets weekends, so you can't avoid the crowds."

"Everyone targets weekends" is already implicit in the first sentence. It would be clearer and more informative to say "The crowds are terrible, especially on weekends. To avoid them, go there on a weekday."

If I write crowds are terrible, is it correct? I always forget to use "the"

Crowds are terrible. Sounds like you are speaking generally, about all crowds.

The crowds are terrible. Sounds like you are speaking about specific crowds.
eg I hate going to shop at XXXX. on weekends. The crowds are terrible.

Thanks again.

Is it wrong if I use, I hate going to shop at XXXX. on weekends. The crowd is terrible.

I think it rather depends on what you want to express. What you want to say.

Here you mean the crowd at XXXX is terrible, you do not mean crowds in somewhere else

wish that helps

No, it's not wrong.
There are other ways to say it, which are probably more natural.
