P1: Hey! you should hear this song
P2: Can you hear it to me?
P1: Yeah Hold......
P2: Havent you heard it to me before?
P1: No I heard you a other song by them
P2: Oh it sounds similiar

But Tom can't "hear a song" to Mary. The verb 'hear' does not work that way.

So, if Mary wants to hear a song, she might say to Tom, 'Please sing it to me'.
