The bar charts illustrate the main reasons for learning among students of different ages and how employers support them.

Overall, most of the students choose to study based on their careers People who are under 26 years old receive the most support compared to other age groups.

The reason why students aged under 39 study because of their possession rather than their interest. In the under 26 age group, there is 80% of students learn for their career, it eight folds the figure for reason for their interest. The gap between two learning’s reason gradually narrows from people in the under 26 age to the 30 to 39 age group. People in the 40 to 49 age group, the proportion of people who choose to learn based on their career is equal to people who learn for their interest, at over 40% on each. Finally, the learning motivation of people at the age of over 49 mostly due to their interest, nearly 70% compared to just 18% of people who want to learn for their jobs.

There is close to 65% of youngsters aged under 26 years old are supported, it is almost double the figure for the students in 30 to 39 years old who receive the least supports. Nearly 50 percent of students in the 26 to 29 age group are supported with time off and fees during their careers. In the other age group, employers are from 40 to 49 years old and over 49 years old, 38% and approximately 45% of people have supports respectively.
