The chart below gives information on the percentage of British people giving money to charity by age range for the years 1990 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bars plot percentages of British people in five age groups, the two young groups aged 18-25 and 26-35, the two middle-age groups 26-35 and 36-50, and seniors, older than 65, who supported charitable works by money. Data is shown for two time points 1990 and 2010.

Overall, those belonging to three age groups of 18-25, 26-35, and 36-50 had a downward trend in the two years. By contrast, regarding citizens aged 51-65 and over 65, the values showed an increase.

In detail, there were only 17% of those in the age of 18-25 as donors in 1990, and it significantly decreased nearly by half that, at only 7 percent in 2010, which is also seen as the least compared with other age ranges. Likewise, though the proportion of 35-50-year-old people was highest (42%) in 1990, it was fewer than 7 percent in the second given year. On the contrary, the percentages of those with ages of 51-65 gave their monetary donations slightly climbed from exactly 35% to nearly 40% in both years, and the same pattern also presented clearly with seniors, its values were 32 percent and 35 percent respectively between 1990 and 2010..
