please correct my sentences

I saw one boy who too studied at my university though in different class during my college days, on some occasions. I didn't have chat with him, nor he did have with me. But after a long time, now I caught him in a messenger, and I am going to write him something. Here is a piece of my writing :

I mean, by the "on some occasions", that I met him on some occasions like "college function", "while playing football on the ground", etc.

So I have written the first sentence again, please look over it :

I saw one boy who also studied at my college though he was in different class on some occasions.

This sounds like he was on different classes on some occassions (and in your classes on other occassions).

When I was at university, from time to time I would see a boy who was also a student there, but in different classes.
