Please Correct my mistakes in this argumentive writing

Issue 18: "If people disregard the great works of the past, it is because these works no longer answer the needs of the present."

Answer :

People devalue the great works of past, as they think past works are insufficient to answer the needs of present era. In other words, people disregard past work assuming past is irrelevant considering the present work. So, in my opinion, I disagree with the author’s statement.

Analyzing the claim, the assumption that past is irrelevant can never be true in case of research and creative work, because past can provide helpful informations for the present works in specialized field. People disregard the outstanding works of past in several cases: when past work is incomprehensible, when people try to hide past works so that they can claim that their job is noble and innovative- fulfilling personal interest, and when people misjudge the value of past contribution.

First of all, people disregard the past when people do not understand the genuine contribution of past work. For instance, Galileo first told that earth moves round the sun, but people do not understand because mass people do not get the logic behind it. But, after 400 years later, of the death of Galileo, people came to realize about it. In this specific case, people took 400 years to realize the value of the work. So, the assumption that past is irrelevant due to misunderstanding is true, however, at the end, the truth reveals.
In our society, people have the tendency of not giving the credit to the proper author. In this case, people try to hide the past contributions so that it seems their contributions are genuine. Again, this varies from person to person- not all people follow unfair means this way.

On the other hand, it might happen that people misjudge the contribution of the past work. They forget that past work paves the way for the present work. No innovation is possible over a night. It takes years after years, to make a genuine contribution in any field which follows subsequent innovation in any field.

Based on the analysis, it can easily be concluded that we can never deny the past as past provides the valuable experience for the present work. So, past work should not be misjudged and proper value should be given to past work because past work provides fundamental principles for the present and future works.
