Please correct my IELTS essay

In some countries, governments are encouraging industries and businesses to move out of large cities and into regional areas. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh its disadvantages?

In many nations, governments are encouraging companies to relocate out of metropolises. While this brings several disadvantages, I am convinced that its advantages are more significant.

On the one hand, the relocation to regional areas can have negative effects on businesses themselves. First of all, companies may lose a number of clients from big cities. As businesses move to local areas, clients in large cities cannot reach and purchase the products easily, instead, they will prefer other companies which are nearer. In other words, customers do not have to pay much for the delivery service. Second, there is a lack of skilled workers. Those who are skilled tend choose to work in large cities because of greater job prospects. Therefore, moving to remote areas where there are few professionals leads to poor work productivity and product quality.

On the other hand, on a societal level, it is beneficial that industries relocate out of metropolises. First, the relocation of industrial plants can have a positive impact on the environment. Wastes and toxic emissions produced by factories can result in air pollution, water pollution and other serious issues. By moving these factories out of cities, the quality of environment can be improved. In the meantime, residents can avoid health problems such as respiratory illnesses. Second, relocating industries to regional areas provides more job opportunities for local people, thereby improving their living standard. In addition, businesses may feel hesitant to move to such areas due to the lack of skilled labor force. However, the cost for land in remote places is more affordable, skilled employees can be encouraged to buy a house and settle here to develop their career.

In conclusion, although there are some disadvantages, I believe that the relocation of industries and businesses out of metropolises to regional areas is beneficial for the society.
