Task 2: Scientific research should be carried out and controlled by the governments rather than private companies. Do you agree or disagree?

Many people argue that scientific investigations should be conducted and regulated by the governments instead of private corporations. While it is true that the authorities should be responsible for carrying out these researchs, I would argue that these acitivities can also be done by companies.

On the one hand, as the world is facing big problems nowadays such as global warming, international crime, etc, then It would be better to have many countries dealing with these concerns together by carrying out scientific studies on a larger scale. For example, European countries have reduced carbon dioxide to the least percentage ever on mutual agreement. Secondly, goverments tend to focus on bringing about benefit for citizens insted of private companies trying to maximize profit.

On the other hand, governments are more likely to concentrate on other areas such as education, infrastructure improvement,...Therefore, It would be better for companies to establish scientific research. Moreover, private companies tend to attract more well-qualified scientists than governments as companies give such scientists rewarding perk. 

In conclusion, I believe that both companies and governments should be conducting scientifc studies as the reasons mentioned above.
