I think it is better that a university pairs students with different personalities and backgrounds as freshman roommates. The reason is that a university is the place where students learn communication as well as study, and the time is appropriate because many of them will find work just after graduation. For example, in dormitory rules would be established; for instance, you cannot make noise while a roommate ia studying. Making rules and concede with different personalities makes you learn communication which is important when you get steady job.
