Please correct mistakes if any.

This is just a translation exercise, so I can't change its content.

When I lived in Germany, I saw all the neighbors shoveling the snow from the street before dawn. I was impressed by their willingness to do what they could for the community. However, they said to me, "You should start shoveling. If an elderly woman slips on the snow and gets seriously injured in front of your house, you will have to pay a lot of money." I was a little disappointed, but I enjoyed shoveling the snow a lot.
