Please correct me.

I want to put my facebook status on 13th,feabruary like this: Dear boys and girls, I have an idea. We postpone the valentine's day to april first instead of that we will celebrate april first tomorrow.

Actually, I thought that at first, and then changed it. I decided that only the latter part was his idea...but maybe I'm wrong.

Can I put the sentence as follows;

I have an idea. We postpone the valentine's day onto the date of April first, and instead of that we will celebrate April first tomorrow.

Can we use "onto the date of" instead of until April first?

No, 'onto' does not work, Sri.

And rcteja: your original is very confusing, logically. Why would you postpone February 14th to April 1st and then celebrate April 1st on February 14th?
