00 Mr.Xis of the view that there should be a concerted efforts from all of us to avoid being black listed by suppliers for late payments. He also asked me why there was a long delay in stock inward and how I followed it up. 02 br

00 You would certainly will agree and know that there is a delay in stock inward for quite a few consignment and that put us in a jeopardized situation. The major portion of the credit period given by our supplier is eaten away by the cargo transit time and we literally left with very short period for clearance, stock booking and payment. This warrants all of us into swift action from cargo clearance to stock inward to cost booking to foreign payment. If payment delayed continously, suppliers would put us in the negative list and supply might be denied or they might also insist Letter of Credit. These would definitely complicate the issues further. We therefore should take necessary corrective action in co-ordination with each other to resolve the issue. 02 br
