Please correct and grade my essay for Task 2

Some people believe that developments in the field of artificial intelligence will have a positive impact on our lives in the near future. Others, by contrast, are worried that we are not prepared for a world in which computers are more intelligent than humans. Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.

It is clear that modern technology has had a profound effect on humans. Nowadays, some tasks are fully automated and do not need human intervention. Because of this, many people are afraid that future robots will be so intelligent and, therefore, will be detrimental to our society. However, others believe that, overall, intelligent machines will be beneficial for all of us. In this essay, I will discuss both sides and explain my support for the latter.

It is true that someday, machines will be sentient beings. They will be able to think for themselves, be independent, and probably dominate over humanity. In the recently concluded robotics exhibition in Tokyo, a company showcased a robot capable of expressing emotions and feelings through facial movements. Many think that this is only the beginning and soon, a humanoid robot will take over the world. However, I believe that if scientists are intelligent enough to develop human-like machines, they are also capable of creating ways to control them. In fact, the Japanese scientist who created the robot in Tokyo, agrees that scientists are capable of this and that worries about human annihilation by robots are unfounded.

On the other hand, no one can deny the advantages that machines offer to our world. They simply make life easier and more convenient. For instance, in accounting firms, intelligent machines can use complex algorithms to make tax computations for several companies much faster than ever before. Such thing is incomprehensible in the past and probably, more advance technology will be developed in the future for the whole world to benefit.

In general, although there are worries about artificial intelligence and its possible unfavourable impact on us, I strongly believe that humans can control them and that any drawbacks are outweighed by their benefits.
