This sentence is the paraphrase of the sentence ' When they dressed to go out, the boy told his mother how beautiful she looked'.Please correct it.

The OP sentence is taken from the short story "Dreams Do Come True" by Jim Bishop. So I've used 'his parents' for 'they'.
