Please correct

Hello,
Please help me to correct these sentences:
  1. Every single rubbish left on the pavement matters (I am writing an essay about protection of the environment)
  2. The most powerful organization is the/a government, which must give special donations to develop all renewable energy sources. (is the relative clause used correctly here?If I say ‘the' I mean the government of my country?)
  3. Participating in Earth Day is very important. (no article before special days, for instance Mother's Day, Children's Day)
  4. This is a rotating wind which comes into being because of big differences in an/the air pressure.
  5. The most dangerous region on the Earth is the ‘Tornado Alley'. It is an/the area in the middle of the USA where tornadoes are really common.
Describing a photo:
6. In the middle of the photo is a tornado and some houses.
(I think it's an example of literary inversion, but in spoken language we should say: In the middle of the photo there is a tornado and some houses.
7. People are frightened of natural disasters because they cannot predict the time or the place which will be struck by a tornado.
