00I think as the renowned preacher named 'Mike Tozer' once preached about this; it being that Christianity is different from other Asian religions in that it is not us Christians who are trying to attiain salvation through our own effort but rather, by the gift of God, which has been graciously given to us by the the death Jesus Christ. It isn't human effort but rather, the gift that establish our salvation. We Christian acknowledge before hand -- before having faith in Him -- that we are hopeless in our own design and it is the gift, the very gift made by God to save us from eventual, unavoidable damnation, that will save us and allow us a bridge that once again will connect us with the Father above, the bridge that was destroyed when Adam and Eve fell from the trusting relationship with God by eating some fruit from the tree that was forbidden to touch. 0-
