The subject is that It has been said, “not everything that is learned is contained in books’’.Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?

What kind of knowledge is more important- knowledge from books or from experience? Indeed, we acquire knowledge from two principal sources; one is books and the other is experience. However, in my opinion, knowledge gained from experience is more important that knowledge gained form books, because all book’s knowledge originate form experiential accumulation.

First all of, all knowledge in books are made up of people who experience daily life. In other words, knowledge derives from the experiences of daily life of people. There are a lot of new innovation and invention that we are handy with such as cooking pottery but there didn’t exist in the Stone Age. How do they create? Doubtless, our ancestors created a great amount of invention by practical experience, and converted their experiences into knowledge. As a matter of fact, our ancestors not only create much knowledge and pass on us but also establish human civilization by experiencing daily life. Thus, experience is the mother of knowledge.

secondly,I am sure we can't learn everything in books because it is an ever-changing world we have no ability to predict what thing will happen. For one thing, when the first case of AIDS emerged, no one in medical science knew how to remedy it. Being a new disease, AIDS wasn’t recorded in any document. Meanwhile, only through countless experience of looking for real virus, can professional doctors find a way to combat AIDS. This example goes to demonstrate that knowledge from experience is more important.

To conclusion, some people would rather gain knowledge from books than practical experience in daily life. However, the overwhelming majority of us still acquire further knowledge from real experiences. Therefore, I am inclined to say that knowledge from experience is the best way to enhance our knowledge’s horizon.
