Please confirm or correct..:)

Hi guys,

please may I have very short question about the phrase where I'm not sure whether I grabbed the meaning correctly?

We're gonna take it one day at a time. One hour at a time. We're gonna get through this together.

Please may I translate the red parts as...We're gonna be in this together whole day = one day??? (Is that correct?), one hour ???

It means that they will be together step by step through the difficult period. He is not talking literally about spending a whole day together.

There may be days  before the situation has resolved - for all of that time they will be supporting each other.
